Born and raised in Tampa, Fl, Donna Sanders always knew she could paint. She attended Tampa College for Commercial Art, followed by 6 months of private lessons where she learned acrylic painting.
Her Grandmother was a prolific artist so it was in the genes! Donna’s Grandmother had wall to wall paintings throughout her home.
After raising her 5 children, Donna was able to paint full time. With 12 Grandchildren keeping her on the go, she teaches children and holds events such as “Ring around the Canvas” at her house, where everyone passes the canvas until each painting is completed.
She’s interested in many and varied people, places and things so her subjects run the gamut from wildlife to decks of playing cards. She’s worked in colored pencil, oils , markers and now primarily acrylic paint.
Donna has now joined Paint the Town Citrus Art Studio & Gallery in the Carrollwood area of Tampa as Artist and Co-Manager. She accepts commissions and offers private lessons. We can’t wait to see what she comes up with next for events and classes!
